About
Memorial honoring child victims of the bombing, surrounded by thousands of paper cranes.
This monument pays tribute to children who died following the 1945 atomic bombing. The story of Sadako Sasaki and her origami cranes inspired a lasting tradition: thousands of colorful paper cranes surround the statue. School groups regularly visit to pay respects and sing.
