About

Open-air Gothic ruins of a convent destroyed by the 1755 earthquake.

A 14th-century Carmelite church whose roof collapsed during the great earthquake. The roofless nave, with its pointed arches and columns rising skyward, now houses a small archaeological museum displaying sarcophagi and ancient azulejos.
