Cast-iron elevator from 1902 connecting Baixa to the Carmo neighborhood.
A 45-meter neo-Gothic structure designed by Raoul Mesnier du Ponsard, adorned with intricate ironwork. The elevator links lower streets to Carmo Square and offers from its upper platform an extensive view over Rossio and Saint George's Castle.
