About
Bridge spanning the Thames facing Big Ben and Parliament, a favourite viewpoint for photographers.
Opened in 1862, this cast-iron arch bridge offers a frontal view of Big Ben and the Parliament buildings. Heavily trafficked, especially at sunset. It replaced an 1750 structure notorious for alarming sway.
